June Turns One

Our red headed babe has turned one already.  This year has gone by in a flash and i feel like this girl was just a tiny baby yesterday.

We had a little party for this special bug this past weekend and she had such a fun time. with some close friends and family.

She ate her cake like a little lady.  I was sure she was going to smash it up, but she didn't.  Instead she got a little mad that her hands were messy.  Just like mama.

It was a day filled with friends, family and flower crowns.  So far this girl has been such a surprise, the sweetest, happiest baby.  We love this girl and I'm so proud to be her Mama.

a Shower for Baby June

Last weekend my mom threw a baby shower for Me and Baby June at our place...

I had the best time hanging out with my family.  Our girl is almost here and I can't believe it, I feel like it was just yesterday that we found out I was pregnant and now her due date is only 3 weeks away.  Can't wait to meet her.

Our Garden Patio

So, we've been working on our back patio for the last month or so, planting flowers, succulents and herbs.  I'm so excited to be able to relax in an outdoor space of our own, looking forward to some warm summer nights.

I really wish we took a before picture of the weeds that were taking over this space, it was like a jungle.  Thankfully, Daniel got rid of them...he's working hard in his straw hat here.

We are really enjoying our gas fire pit, warm flame and no smoke.

It's going to be a good summer <3

New Home

We decided it was time to move, to a bigger space, closer to where we both work and to a better neighborhood

It's always so hard making the first decisions, placing the first picture on the wall.  I always feel like I have to think about it for a while...I don't want to put any holes in the wall that I don't need to.  but once you get started it all starts falling into place it seems.
After 2 weeks of unpacking, hanging shelves and pictures, and rearranging furniture, we had our first guests over for Sunday brunch.
Daniel all snuggled up, super exhausted from a busy weekend :)
